A very topical name for a band!
I've only heard the single 'Gunman' and I like it,very Bowie in parts. Plus it's great to see Dave Grohl on the drums again, what a drummer that man is! _________________ Singer/Songwriter |

| I've only given it a casual spin so far... even for being a supergroup, it does sound amazing on paper. In reality, I wasn't all that convinced. Not sure what I had expected, actually... I quite liked it, no more, no less. It may be a grower, though. |

| I wasn't impressed when I first heard it, but it has grown on me, bit of early Queens in the solos, a bit like a harder version of humble pie, it's alright, not great, but alright. |

| It worked better today when I gave it another listen. It's a quite strange record - how should one label it? Anyways, both Homme and Grohl have enough charisma (whatever instrument Grohl chooses from!) to make an album worthwhile on their own, and there is quite the powerhouse going on there. I guess John Paul Jones doesn't quite have enough balls and grit to keep up with those two - but he was always like that, wasn't he? So between the three of them, all is fine by me. What I miss is maybe another guitarist... somebody awfully sleazy and grimey. Someone from Motörhead, or something. Actually, Slash comes to mind. TCV really do work in the way that Velvet Revolver doesn't. |

| Would work better with a different singer, I like Josh but a whole album tends to get a bit whiney and grating.. If they had let Mark Lanegan front the project it would have been amazing IMHO. |

I saw the BBC 1 concert recently a few months ago from the Reading festival. I was very impressed, I could not help but think that Grohl looked like Bonzo on the kit behind John Paul Jones. Maybe Grohl will get invited to play the drums with Zeppelin if they do the rumoured Glastonbury performance this year. _________________ And your spinning around, and around and around with electric lights flashing very fast. |
